Extended downtime stems from updates and unforeseen technical issues. As a result, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is experiencing an unusual delay in its Battle Royale launch.

Downdetector peaked at 1,227 outage reports at 7:06 a.m. Friday.

The official @FortniteStatus account offers the most up-to-date information on the game's status.

Comments on their posts reflect a mix of understanding and playful frustration from fans.

"Cheers mate, sons crying now," commented @Leven2k.

When Will Fortnite Servers Be Up?

At 7:14 a.m., @FortniteStatus advised at least eight additional hours of downtime, emphasizing their commitment to restoring service quickly.

As such, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths & Mortals likely won't launch until 3 p.m. MST at the earliest.

A more recent update at 2:03 p.m. announced "pre-download an updated version of v29.00 in approximately 5 hours." This suggests a potential pre-download availability around 7 p.m. MST.
